learned how to braid hair at the tender age of 7 and never stopped learning. At Age 11 I decided to enter an
entrepreneurship competition, building a mock business plan where hair was the center of my business model.
Winning that competition inspired me to open my first business ‘BB’s Braiding and Beyond’. It also inspired me to
build my knowledge of providing quality hair services, by way of an apprenticeship at 15. My unique relationship
with hair has been decades in the making.
